Filming for "Fifty Shades of Grey" wrapped up on February yet the movie trailer release is reportedly postponed until September. However, Universal did release a five-minute movie trailer which revealed that '50 Shades of Grey" focuses more on romance instead of kinky sex.

"50 Shades of Grey" fans have been expecting a movie trailer, even a teaser, for the upcoming movie adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel with the same name. However, there has been no movie trailer released.

Laters Baby reported that the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) recently made some timeline changes on the release of movie trailers. MPAA is not allowing movie trailers to be shown more than five months before the scheduled release of a movie. "50 Shades of Grey" has a release date set for Feb. 13, 2015. With MPAA's rules, fans wouldn't see a movie trailer until September.

The "50 Shades of Grey" novel focuses on the story of Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and their kinky romance. Anastasia is a virginal college student who falls in love with Christian, a rich billionaire who furtively enjoys BDSM. The novel is known for being racy, however fans enjoyed the kinky sex and Anastasia and Grey's blossoming romance, reports hngn.

"50 Shades of Grey" fans have high expectations for the movie to be able to live up to the novel. However, the movie didn't receive best reviews on March 25, when Universal reportedly showed a five-minute trailer of "50 Shades of Grey" to an audience at CinemaCon.

According to LA Times, the movie adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey" is tamer than the steamy, S&M-heavy novel. The footage featured very little sex although Anastasia was seen blindfolded and being pushed up against a wall by Christian Grey.

The "50 Shades of Grey" movie trailer started with Anastasia walking into Christian Grey's high-rise office. Anastasia's been sent to the office so she can interview Grey for her college paper. She is instantly smitten with Grey. She gushed to a friend about how "smart, intense and courteous" he is. Soon Christian Grey had asked Anastasia out and they started sharing deep sentiments such as "your face gives me some clue as to what I might be thinking" and "I don't want to see you get hurt."

From the "50 Shades of Grey" movie trailer, LA Times noted the difference between the Christian Grey in the novel with that in the movie. Christian Grey in the novel is a dominant force, the power player in the relationship. However in the trailer, viewers only sense Grey's dominant force when he warned Anastasia that he was comprised of more than just "hearts and flowers."

Another scene featured in the "50 Shades of Grey" movie trailer is at Clayton's Hardware Store and Charlie Tango, reports Entertainment Weekly. Anastasia's mom (Jennifer Ehle) and her best friend/roommate Kate Kavanagh (Eloise Mumford) were also seen in the footage.

There has been no confirmation from MPAA regarding their new rule. Hopefully it's just a rumour so "50 Shades of Grey" fans would be able to see a movie trailer before September.
