$5.8M Gold Coast Mansion Sells Prior to Auction
A Tallai mansion previously voted house of the year by the Queensland Master Builders Association has been snapped up by an undisclosed buyer for $5.8 million prior to its auction on October 5.
The 2,000 square metre house built and owned by Graeme Ingles was sold by Shaun Kaddatz of Ray White Prestige after one week of marketing. The three-level home is perched on an 8,888m2 rise affording a bird’s eye view with the ocean and entire stretch of the Gold Coast spread-out below.
Mr Kaddatz said the local buyer was attracted by the truly unique nature of the offering.
“This home is unrepeatable with a design and secluded location that is second to none,” he said.
“While we were confident the property would attract strong interest at auction the resulting sale less than one week after marketing commenced is a fantastic result.
“The home is stylish and contemporary with a number of sensational features that maximise livability and create a highly luxurious and practical residence.”
Along with panoramic views to the horizon, the property located at 156 Tallai Road includes six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and six secure car spaces.
Other unique inclusions that set the home apart include a resort-sized horizon edge pool, vaulted-barrel ceiling in the master bedroom which opens to reveal the sky and an entertainment wing cut into the hillside that includes an executive study with library and 16-seat home cinema.
Andrew Bell, CEO of the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, said the $5.8 million sale demonstrated that an increasing number of transactions were occurring particularly in the Gold Coast prestige market.
“There is value in the current market and greater consistency between buyer and seller expectations is resulting in increased sales activity and a reduction in time on the market.
“As demonstrated by this sale when a high calibre offering becomes available there are interested buyers with the confidence to act immediately.
“This confidence is also resulting in strong auction performances with a 62 per cent clearance rate achieved at our residential auction last week representing a success rate above the national average.”
