5 Seconds of Summer has just released their second studio album titled “Sounds Good Feels Good” on Oct. 23 under Capitol Records. According to Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford, the new album is different from their self-titled debut album.

In an interview with ABC Radio, Clifford said it was like a real release to write about some of the stuff that he Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin have. He said it was great to be able to get into talking about mature topics, such as suicide, in the new album.

Clifford revealed that there is an anti-suicide anthem in “ Sounds Good Feels Good.” He added that the anti-suicide song talks about “loneliness and stuff like that.”

In addition, Clifford compared their self-titled debut album with the newly released new album. According to him, talking about serious topics was something that they did not get to explore on their first album .

Hemmings said he loved the first album but he and his 5SOS band mates did not have much life experience at that point. The debut studio album of the Australian pop punk band was released on June 27, 2014 also under Capitol Records.

According to Hemmings, he and his 5SOS band mates have been through some stuff and they have “kind of dealt with a few things.” He believes that the maturity they have gained comes out in the new album.

“It's more personal,” Hemmings said of the second studio album of 5SOS titled “Sounds Good Feels Good.” “ I think people will respond to that .”

While the debut studio album of 5SOS has 12 songs, “Sounds Good Feels Good” has 14 songs including “She’s Kinda Hot: and “Hey Everybody,” which were released before the album release.

Upon the release of “Sounds Good Feels Good,” the 5SOS boys were featured in Vogue. Clifford told the magazine that “Bad Blood” singer Taylor Swift has blocked his number and Irwin implied that it was because he was texting her all the time.
