Let's see who among those finalists really deserve to win the coveted award.

Jordan Lynch

Lynch is a quarterback who plays for the Northern Illinois Huskies. He has broken several records during the 2013 season. He holds the record for the most running yards by a quarterback in a single game. He finished 316 yards and 3 touchdowns on Oct. 19. He broke his own record of most running yards with 321 yards during a game against the Western Michigan University Broncos on Nov. 26.

Johnny Manziel

Manziel, also known as Johnny Football, plays quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies. He is the first freshman and fifth player in history of Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to pass 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in one season. In January 2013, reports about Manziel signing autographs for money had surfaced on the Internet. Manziel won the award last year, making him the first freshman to win the award. Will he bring home the award this time around? He had a pretty impressive season, with a total of 4,418 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Tre Mason

Auburn Tigers' running back Tre Mason will face fellow Heisman Trophy candidate Jameis Winston in the national championship game. Mason set a rushing record of 304 yards during the 2013 SEC Championship Game against Missouri. He was rated as the 14th best running back in the U.S, by Rivals.com

AJ McCarron

AJ McCarron, who playes quarterback for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, has a record of 2,676 yards, 26 touchdowns, and five interceptions. McCarron appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine for the October issue.

Andre Williams

Boston College Eagles' running back Andre Williams became a much loved contender for the Heisman Trophy his achievement of running 263 yards and 2 scores, as well as passing 2,000 yards during the Eagles' match against Maryland, making Williams the 16th player in NCAA history to accomplish such feat. He is ranked as the third best running back in the 2014 National Football League (NFL) Draft.

Jameis Winston

Winston, who plays quarterback for the Florida State Seminoles, has always been a favourite for the Heisman Trophy award. A lot of people thought that he would no longer be in the running for the said award when his sex assault case was brought up. The case was completed and on Dec. 5, 2013, the state attorney Willie Megs revealed that no charges will be filed against Winston. According to Rivals.com, Winston is considered as the best dual-threat quarterback recruit.

Who do you think among them is closer to the Heisman Trophy? The winner will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 14.
