The gorgeous Miss Philippines' Megan Young wore the tiara Saturday when she beat 3 other talented and beautiful women to become the first Filipino to become the Miss World. The 23-year-old stunner was crowned by Miss World 2012 The People's Republic of China's Wen Xia Yu.

As soon as she was crowned, everyone was admiring the glittering pale pink fishtail gown, Megan Young's charming looks and the signature wave to fans were promised to be one of the best in the history of Miss World.

1. She believes in mix and match with a dash of personal touch: Young is a mix n' match-girl. In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal, she admitted that fashion goes best with mixing and matching stuff. Moreover, she stressed on adding a little personal touch with her fashion statement. "You have the latest trends, but I still want to keep a part of me there. We have the visions of other people, what's in, but [you] always need to add personal touch, because it's a way of showing other people that's the side of you that's who you are," she added.

2. She's a gamer girl: Young has been a gaming enthusiast since her childhood days. This avid gamer started out with consoles and moved on to devices like mobile and Gameboy.

3. She aspires to become a film director: Young is an aspiring film maker and is studying a course in Digital film making at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

4. She was born in the U.S.: She was born in U.S. and moved to Philippines when she was 10.

5. She has been in over 10 movies in Philippines: Young is quite a celebrity in her home country, way before she was crowned as Miss World 2013. She worked in her movie in 2005, and her recent ones are "Bang Bang Alley" and "The Reunion."
