Google doesn't announce incremental updates beforehand so it isn't possible to know whether the company is working on another Android 4.4 KitKat update for Nexus owners and others or not. A lot of Nexus owners are still struggling with issues and bugs in Android 4.4.2 KitKat and another Android 4.4 update should be the next big update soon. Here are a few predictions about the speculated Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.

The update has always been incremental, which means that it's not a big overhaul to the Android OS but just builds off of the existing Android Jelly Bean. The update is not small and is still sought after. Good thing it has rolled out to several devices already.

The Android 4.4.1 KitKat update and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update have been rolling out since Nov 2013. The updates include security enhancements and bug fixes. It also went after the Nexus 5 camera issues. However, there still are some issues and complaints about the software.

Google will likely roll out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat to Google's Nexus 7, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 without warning. It is hard to predict because Google might keep the devices on Android 4.4.2 until a new big update is out in 2014. However, there are too many Android 4.4.2 KitKat complaints for Google to just ignore. There are still issues that have carried over from the first Android 4.4 KitKat update including the dialer issues of the Nexus 4.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean have also received two incremental fix updates and technically, Android 4.4 KitKat has so far only received one. Google not only has a history of releasing fix updates in increments, it is also known for fixing bugs. And with several problems still unresolved, an Android 4.4.3 KitKat won't come as a surprise.

There is no clear pattern to Samsung's release dates. At this point with a lot of vacation days and holidays, the update will likely be put off until 2014. There hasn't been any rumour about an imminent Android 4.4.3 KitKat release to date. It is expected to arrive for Nexus users in the first three months of 2014.
