‘That 70s Show’ Lisa Robin Kelly and Ashton Kutcher, Different Paths
Lisa Robin Kelly, famous for her role as Laurie Forman in the hit TV series “That 70s Show,” died after suffering from a cardiac arrest. She was 43 years old at the time of her passing. She had been struggling with alcohol addiction and had voluntarily admitted herself to a rehab facility. She passed away on Aug 15 in a rehab facility in Los Angeles.
"Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," agent Craig Wyckoff told CNN on Thursday. "I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her."
According to the news report the exact cause of her death is still not known as the autopsy report from toxicology will take right to ten weeks to be available. She is said to have died in her sleep.
Her most memorable role was as Laurie Foreman in "That 70s Show." Incidentally one of her co-stars from the TV show Ashton Kutcher, who played Michael Kelso in the show, is starring in a major Hollywood movie. Kutcher is set to play the role Steve Jobs in the movie called as "Jobs." He is also rumored to be dating his co-star from the same TV show - Mila Kunis. Mila played the role of Jackie Burkhart.
The stark difference in the career path taken by the two perhaps can be attributed to alcohol addiction. The problem of alcohol addiction can have a devastating impact on a person's personal as well as professional life.
Lisa Robin Kelly was on the news recently for being arrested. She was booked for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was later released on bail. She has also been arrested on two other separate occasions for alleged spouse abuse and later for assault.
The actress last starred as "Angel" in a short movie "SUX2BME." The movie was about a middle aged mother who is desperate to find a man who will care for her. Meanwhile, her daughter has to take to the streets.
