It's the Academy Awards once again and apart from vouching who will win, spectators are going to be watching out for the gowns to grace the red carpet this year. Another time for critics to list their red carpet hit and misses. But before that, let's take a look at some of the most memorable Oscar gowns from the 90's to present.

Gwyneth Paltrow - The actress looked princess perfect in a pink Ralph Lauren gown in 1999. It's the same time she snagged the "Best Actress" award for the film "Shakespeare in Love." Well not too many gowns from the 90's would transcend fashionably at present time, but Gwyneth and her bubble gum pink gown will surely make a hit even now.

Bjork - Not all memorable gowns is a hit and Bjork's surely shocked everyone at the red carpet with her swan gown. Regardless if it is a hit or miss, it sure gathered a lot of attention.

Julia Roberts - If were talking about a gown that will never go out of style, Julia Robert's Valentino gown is definitely one. She also won the "Best Actress" award for "Erin Brokovich" that night.

Halle Berry - Even back in 2002, Halle Berry knows her assets and she dares to show it. In a sheer Ellie Saab gown, she was surely one of the best dressed that night, not to mention, the winner for "Best Actress" for "Monster's Ball."

Hilary Swank - The secret to Hilary Swank's gown is at the back. The two time Oscar winning actress bares her back at the 2005 Academy Awards.

Michelle Williams - The blonde beauty was striking in a mustard Vera Wang gown in 2006. It was a bold choice from the usual neutral gowns at the Academy Awards, but then again she managed to pull it off.

Penelope Cruz - The sexy Latina opted for a more dramatic champagne colored Atelier Versace gown in 2007. It was notably a red carpet hit.

Angelina Jolie - Jolie appeared at the Academy Awards red carpet in 2009, just months after she gave birth to her twins. The gorgeous actress looked ravishing in a black Ellie Saab gown paired with emerald Lorraine Schwartz earrings. It was definitely one of her best red carpet looks.

Mila Kunis - The "Black Swan" actress chose a risky pick for her gown. She appeared on the red carpet wearing a lilac Ellie Saab gown and her fashion plunge truly paid off.

Anne Hathaway - A bold red gown and bright red lips. The "Princess Diaries" star was radiant when she arrived at the Academy Awards last 2011.
