AC Milan boss Massimiliano praised the performance of comeback superstar Kaka after the Rossoneri were able to secure a draw against Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

"Kaká gave a wonderful performance, showing he is a great player with his commitment to the team," Allegri told uefa.com.

The Brazilian was heavily involved both on offence and on defence, assisting in Robinho's goal and making 5 succesful tackles in the game.

Allegri acknowledged that in order to come up with a good performance against Barca, his team must play perferfectly. But this was not the case as a lapse on defense instantly led to a Lionel Messi goal, for the equaliser.

"The boys played well, giving Barcelona no room to be dangerous and hitting them on the counter. We made just one mistake defensively and they punished us," he added.

Nevertheless, Milan is still looking good at second place with 5 points and Celtic crawling in below them with 3 points, after three played games.

"We created more chances tonight than in the match we won [2-0] last season [against Barcelona in the round of 16], but this is a good result because we still have a two-point advantage over Celtic," he remarked.

"When you face Barcelona you need to have a thousand eyes, because they can come at you from everywhere."

"Our defence coped pretty well with the help of the midfielders and forwards. We also played good football up front and I'm satisfied with the display."

Meanwhile, Tata Martino remains positive in spite of only having to secure a draw as they lead the group with 7 points.

However, he noted that his side could have gotten more from the game.

"When you think in terms of qualifying for the next round, the result is a good one. Looking at the game, we deserved more. We didn't start well and that led to us conceding a goal," said Martino.

"Robinho and Kaká made life complicated for us at the beginning. After we drew level we had four or five chances to win it."
