There are companies like Acer that are trying to move at the pace of other brands in context to new releases and maintaining the grip in the competitive market.

According to a report on techvorm, Acer launched five new smartphones and a new smartband - Acer Liquid E700, Acer Liquid E600, Acer Liquid Z200, Acer Liquid X1 and Acer Liquid Jade smartphones and the Liquid Leap smartband.

Apart from these smartphones and a smartband, Acer has also launched the Iconia Tab 8 tablet ahead of Computex that will start off next week in Taiwan. The company announced that the tablet will be available starting the third quarter, but did not reveal its pricing.

Though the tablet market is growing at its own speed, unlike last year, it is hinting tablet manufacturers to come out with new devices. Acer Iconia Tab 8 comes with its own features and unique qualities.

The Acer Iconia Tab 8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and includes an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 Full HD display with IPS and Zero Air Gap technologies to reduce light reflection offering higher contrast with brighter, crisper images and better readability under the sunlight. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z3745 quad core processor, covered with a 2GB of RAM and might be available in two storage variants too - 16GB and 32GB. It also supports expandable storage through microSD card.

The Iconia Tab 8 has an in built 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet supports 802.11n Wi-Fi with MIMO, Bluetooth and Micro-USB for connectivity. There are no specifications mentioned in the techvorm report regarding battery but it claims to be a powerful one that has 7.5 hours of life while viewing videos.

The tablet sports a sleek and elegant design with a refined classy metallic silver rear cover and slim profile that easily fits in one hand and is just 8.5mm thin weighing 360 grams. The Iconia Tab 8's display also includes an anti-fingerprint coating that avoids messy fingerprints, making it much easier to clean and read. It also features dual speakers for a surround sound effect with clear and much original audio effect.

The Acer Tab sports Acer Touch WakeApp which lets users wake up the Iconia Tab 8 faster and easily with a simple touch gesture.

The Acer Iconia Tab 8 can be integrated with other Acer PCs effortlessly for accessing data anytime, anywhere through Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC). BYOC enables users to build their own cloud on their devices, such as music, photos and other types of content on a reliable and secure platform with convenient access to their information and content anytime and anywhere.
