It has been announced earlier this year that troubled Hollywood actress, Lindsay Lohan, will depict Elizabeth Taylor on the Lifetime Network's new biopic of the acclaimed star.

Lohan is set to begin filming this week and a picture of her looking like Elizabeth Taylor has already been leaked online. Talk about haters for some people have already given harsh comments about it.

Apparently, Lohan cut and dyed her hair in a curly and brunette hairdo that is just like Elizabeth Taylor's. A recent photo acquired by TMZ shows the actress sporting the new look.

However, despite having a fairly close resemblance, many users gave not-so-nice review of Lohan's ability to portray Elizabeth Taylor accurately.

"She looks nothing like Liz Taylor! No way will her walk or talk be like her either. This will be a 'B' movie at best," one reviewer wrote down.

"How embarrassing. Trash pretending to be an icon. Not happening. This is sad even though it's only a Lifetime movie," another reviewer added.

Meanwhile, other fans were far more supportive with Lindsay Lohan on her new project.

"Fireworks and celebrations! I knew Lindsay could pull this off! The moment it was announced that she had been cast as Liz, I knew she could play Elizabeth like no other actor of this generation," one Lohan fan wrote on the Hollywood Gossip blog.

Lindsay Lohan recently sat down with Matt Lauer during an interview on the "Today Show" to talk about the new role. "I've been doing tons of research," Lohan said, talking about Elizabeth Taylor. "She's always been a fascinating woman to me. So I'm really honored. And I will not let anyone down, especially myself," the actress added.

Lohan has also admitted during the interview that when it came to her professional reputation, she was not expecting an overnight fix. "I think that takes time," Lohan told Lauer talking about her past substance abuse issues and why it took her so long to overcome them.

"I think I was scared and didn't want to admit it to myself, let alone anyone else," Lohan revealed. It is a possibility that Lindsay Lohan's portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming film "Liz & Dick" might be enough to finally turn the star's plummeting career in the other direction.
