The Myanmar government has blacklisted Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh on its immigration list barring her entry to the country.

Reports from Agence France Presse said Ms Yeoh will not have a chance to step into the capital city Yangon and was immediately sent back the minute she set foot at the airport.

Immigration officers have declined to explain why Ms Yeoh will not be allowed entry into the country Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.

"She did not have the chance to enter Myanmar again. She was deported straight away on the first flight after arriving at Yangon International Airport," a Myanmar official, who did not want to be named, told AFP.

Reports confirmed that during her visit in December, the Malaysian-born Yeoh met the Nobel Peace Prize winner and Democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi at her Yangon home after shooting scenes with French director Luc Besson in Thailand for an undisclosed production.

Rumours said Mr Besson and Ms Yeoh's film collaboration is a film about the life of Ms Suu Kyi and is expected to be released later this year.

Ms Suu Kyi was rreed in November 2011 after several years under house arrest and just before the national elections, which claimed was a change in democracy rule from military junta.

She boycotted the said election, stating the rules as unfair. In 1990, her party the National League for Democracy won the national elections with a landslide victory, but it was never recognised by the military junta.
