Adam Levine: 'The Voice' Coach And Maroon 5 Frontman Meets 10-Year-Old Fan With Down Syndrome
Christopher Warner, a 10-year-old boy with Down syndrome, finally met his idol Adam Levine during a meet-and-greet with Maroon 5 on Monday, March 2. What happened at Chris and Adam’s meeting will make the fans adore the 35-year-old “The Voice” coach even more.
Chris’ mom and special education teachers created a video that shows how much the young boy loves Maroon 5. The teacher shared in an Us Weekly report that Chris created a poster about the pop-rock band for his informational writing project and he always finishes his homework early every day in order to earn break times so he can listen to his favorite Maroon 5 songs.
In the video clip, Chris Warner runs around singing to Maroon 5’s “One More Night” and offering up some information about the group and his favorite singer, Adam Levine, like his tattoos. In order to help Chris score a chance to meet Adam Levine, one of his teachers shared the video clip on YouTube and sent it to Washington, D.C. radio station Hot 99.5.
The radio station’s Kane Show granted Chris Warner’s dream of meeting Adam Levine during Maroon 5’s guest appearance on the show at D.C.’s Verizon Center on Monday night. “Last week we had a teacher email us about a very special student she has named Chris. Chris has Downs Syndrome, and he's an amazing young man. Chris is a huge fan of Adam Levine and Maroon 5, and his teachers wanted them to meet. We were able to pull some strings and last night Chris was able to meet Adam and the band!” Hot 99.5’s report reads.
However, Chris got nervous and suffered a panic attack when he finally met his favorite singer in person. The young boy had to lie down on the floor next to his mother in order to calm himself down.
Instead of waiting for Chris to be okay again, Adam Levine decided to lie next to Chris to help the boy feel a little better. The Maroon 5 lead vocalist also asked the other members of the band to lay down on the floor before posing for pictures. Click HERE to see photos.
