Adani's online portal posts hundreds of jobs available in Australia

Adani's online portal has gone live, posting hundreds of jobs in Australia. The platform allows Gladstone region businesses to post job vacancies in any industry.

There are currently 409 advertised job positions near Gladstone Central. There are also Adani job hirings in the portal.

Ron Watson, spokesperson for Adani, said there were only 26 Adani job positions on the platform, but was quick to explain its purpose of allowing local businesses to find staff as industry activity ramps up. "The idea was to put together an electronic noticeboard to advertise and for people to look for work," The Observer quotes him as saying.

Jobs in Australia

Adani's online jobs portal already obtained up to 7,000 job applications since it was launched. The platform, launched last month, provide jobseekers the opportunity to be notified through emails.

The company states in the portal that it supports all employment opportunities in the communities in which it operates. Job seekers may visit jobsportal.adaniaustralia.com to check the latest jobs available in several locations.

Jobs seekers are advised to email recruitment.australia@adani.in for more detailed position descriptions. The applicants’ latest resume, a cover letter and the reference number of the position applying for should be attached.

The Adani Australia portal welcomes those looking for workers to hire. The service is free and “aims to support jobs seekers find employment within Adani, our Contractors and a whole range of local employers operating in the region.”

Adani Australia regional content manager Ben Hughes spoke at the Regional Growth Seminar at Harrup Park on Sunday and discussed the company’s commitment to supporting jobs in the region. He also talked about Adani’s regional content strategy.

"We're also advertising every single job to the community with the intent, that ideally, we don't just find employment for the primary wage owner," he said, assuring that the huge project would create “huge amount of jobs” and significant investments. Hughes added that they intend to get the maximum return for the communities they are operating.

The Adani Carmichael mine project received the green light last month by the mining company. Construction is slated to start later this year. The Adani Group is among the leading business houses in India. It entered the Australian market in 2010 with the intent to open Queensland’s Galilee Basin.
