Adele is set to receive honors from the Queen for her contribution in the music industry.

The 25-year-old singer will appear at the Buckingham Palace today to receive the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) award. This is after she was named in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services in the music industry.

After receiving the award, the "Skyfall" singer will be officially known as Miss Adele Adkins MBE.

Other receipients of the MBE award include songwriter PJ Harris, comedian Rob Brydon, author Joan Harris and broadcaster Alec Jones.

The MBE award is the highest recognition that Adele will receive, following her Oscar win for Best Original Song for the song "Skyfall" and her ninth Grammy for Best Pop Solo Perfomance for "Set Fire to The Rain."

The awarding ceremony will be the first time the singer will appear in public after giving birth to her son Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki. However, there have been a few sightings of Adele and her little family in the past, such as when the couple watched a private Lady Gaga concert two weeks ago.

The award is traditionally presented by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, or another member of the Royal family. But according to NBC, the presenter will not be revealed until the morning of the actual ceremony.

Along with the recognition from the British Empire, Adele also receives another accomplishment for her two albums, 21 and 19, from online selling site Amazon.

Amazon has just named "21" as the site's Best Selling Album of All Time, with 28 million copies sold around the world. "I Dreamed A Dream" by Youtube sensation Susan Boyle placed second, while the soundtrack for the Broadway musical "Wicked" is at the third place.

Her first album, 19, was at the number eight spot, making her the only singer to have two albums in Amazon's list.

There have been rumors that Adele is also planning to go back to studio to record her third album which is set for release next year.
