Adele, owner of a one-of-a-kind beautiful voice, won two Q awards but was unable to attend the ceremony and receive the awards personally due to ill health.

Q Awards is one of Britain's top music awards ceremonies. The award ceremony is headed by London's Q magazine.

Adele is currently suffering a vocal chord haemorrhage and is under doctor's strict orders to rest her voice. Her U.S. tour that was supposed to launch this month was cancelled due to her condition.

Monday she won the Q Award for Best Female Artist and for Best Song for "Rolling in the Deep." She decided not to attend the event as she was advised not to hold any long conversations.

Winning in the Q Awards is a great way to cap the year for young singer Adele, who will release her much-anticipated second album "21" early next year. Her current album "19" stayed on top of the UK charts for eleven consecutive weeks. Moreover, Adele is the first artist to sell three million copies of her album in a year.

Other winners of the Q Awards were Rapper Tinie Tempah won the Best Male Artist prize. Coldplay took home the Best Act in the World Today honor, and Bon Iver won Best Album for his self-titled disc.

Price Tag hit-maker Jessie J won Best Video for her "Do It Like a Dude" promo. Biffy Clyro landed the Best Live Act honor, and U2 were named the best band of the last 25 years.

"Take That" star Gary Barlow received the Classic Songwriter award at the ceremony in London, Queen were entered into Q's Hall of Fame, and '80s star Siouxsie Sioux was honored for her outstanding contribution to music.
