Australian First Mortgage has appointed a former PLAN Australia state manager as its national head of sales.

AFM has announced the appointment of Clint Hawthorn to the position. Hawthorn previously served as the NSW/ACT state manager for PLAN, and has been with the aggregator for more than 10 years.

AFM director Iain Forbes said the company would continue to appoint sales staff in the new financial year as part of its growth strategy.

Forbes took the opportunity of Hawthorn's appointment to reiterate the lender's removal of exit fees last month, and state that it still maintained a no clawback policy for broker commissions.
