Despite partnering with Google for the release of the Nexus 7.2, Asus stops at nothing, putting out their line of tablets out in the market. Just last week, Asus announced their upcoming Memo Pad FHD10. The 10.1 inch tablet belongs to the new era of portable computing devices hitting the market later this year.

The Memo Pad FHD10 is an affordable tablet offering an exceptional Full HD IPS display. The device provides up to 1920 x 1200 resolution which is great for playing games and watching movies. The device also features Android 4.2 and runs on Intel® AtomTM Z2560 processor. Other specs include ASUS SonicMaster audio technology (rich and detailed sound), Intel Atom Z2560 (1.6GHz) processor, HD camera and 2GB RAM.

The IPS technology of the device provides 178-degree wide viewing angles. Users can expect vibrant and accurate colors regardless of what they want to view. The device only weighs 580g and measures 9.5mm thick. Asus has included the Audio Wizard tuning software and Miracast. These will help users to stream their presentations, files and videos wirelessly to other devices like HDTVs.

Rear camera shoots at 5 megapixels and 1080 Full HD video. Front camera shoots at 1.2 megapixels. Memo Pad's high-capacity lithium polymer battery allows for up to 10 hours of battery life including video playback. Available colors include Vivid Pink, Silk White and Royal Blue. Models come in 16GB or 32GB format.

With this revelation from Asus, it is evident what the shift in the computer market is all about.

The bigger tablets are coming.

According to reports, Apple plans on testing out different screen sizes like its rival company, Samsung. Diversification to other screen sizes indicate the company's eagerness to minimize their losses and reach out to more consumers. To date, Apple has sold millions of their 13-inch devices like the MacBook Air, MacBook and Macbook Pro.

The hybrid between their iPad and Macbook could prove successful.
