After the success of the 2014 People's Choice Awards last night, the 2014 Golden Globe Awards is prepping for its Sunday's event hosted by the two on and off screen BFF's Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. The Golden Globes is set to honor a wide open field of award-tipped movies and critically-acclaimed performances.

Among the top contenders for this year's Golden Globes includes the historical drama "12 Years a Slave," 3D out of space drama "Gravity" and the crime caper "American Hustle." Other hopefuls includes Somali piracy movie "Captain Philips," Martin Scorsese's Wall Street scandal "Wolf of Wall Street" and the bleak family drama "August: Osage County."

"Gravity" star Sandra Bullock took home four awards from last night's People's Choice Awards including Favorite Movie Actress and Bullock is one of the tipped actress for Golden Globes' Best Actress in Drama. Other actress nominated for the award includes Emma Thompson for "Saving Mr. Banks, Cate Blanchett in "Blue Jasmine," Judi Dench in "Philomena," and Kate Winslet in "Labor Day."

Chiwetel Ejiofor has been predicted to win this year's Best Actor in a Drama category for his award-wining performance in Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave." Other actor who are on running for best Actor includes Idris Alba for "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom," Tom Hanks for "Captain Philips," Matthew McConaughey for "Dallas Buyer's Club" and Robert Redford for "All Is Lost."

McQueen's "12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" both garnered seven nods for the Sunday night's show in Beverly Hills, followed by the black and white road movie "Nebraska" with five nominations. Hit series "Breaking Bad" is leading the nominations for television including Best TV Drama, and is up against "Downtown Abbey," "The Good Wife," "House of Cards" and "Masters of Sex."

Hollywood elites will be wining and dining for the upcoming annual event where three delicious courses are scheduled to be served in the main event. Unlike the Oscars, Golden Globe is more formal with food and drinks are being served during the event.

Guests will be served with a sparking glass of Moët & Chandon and mouth watering dish to enjoy the night of celebration for a successful 2013.
