Microsoft is planning to bring a number Xbox and Windows games to the iPhone and Android OS later this year. Through the partnership with Klab Inc., Microsoft can both over its games to the two largest mobile platform.

"Microsoft Corp will offer its console and computer games for Apple Inc's iPhone and other smartphone platforms this fiscal year, through a tie-up with Japanese smartphone game maker Klab Incorporated. Through a licensing deal, Klab will bring Microsoft's Xbox and Windows-based computer games to the iPhone and smartphones using Google Inc's Android operating system," according to Nikkei.

Licensing Deal between Klab Inc and Microsoft

Microsoft made a licensing deal to the Japanese mobile maker Klab to deliver their games to both iPhone and Android running smartphones. The tech giant will allow access to only a selection of games for Android and iPhone unlike with the Windows Phone based mobile devices.

By the end of 2013, Android smartphones and iPhone owners can now obtain certain Microsoft games on their devices and hopefully allow cross-platform interactive with other players using the Internet. Microsoft will launch more and more games by 2014 through Klab Inc.

Microsoft Game Titles for Android and iOS

Age of Empires is the primary game which will be delivered to Android smartphones and iPhone according to Nikkei and it is going to be a free-to-play game with launching date by the end of 2013.

Microsoft hasn't unveiled other upcoming game titles planned for porting to both Android and iOS mobile platforms but expect great mobile gaming since Age of Empires is wildly known for multi-dynamic interface and experience. Hopefully, more RPGs with intense graphics are going to be added by Microsoft.

Is this move going to pin down Blackberry's plan on using Android Jelly Bean games or same tactics used by Google on incorporating services to other platforms?
