Hayley Atwell, who played Agent Peggy Carter in "Captain America," will bring her character to television screens as she has signed on to reprise her role in a new series called "Agent Carter." The actress recently sat down for an interview regarding her show, where she also talked about the "death" of Captain America and Peggy's love for the super soldier.

"Agent Carter" reportedly takes place after the events of "Captain America: The First Avenger." In an interview with IGN TV, Hayley Atwell described how Peggy Carter had moved on in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers. Agent Carter supposedly already knew "his character and she saw a kindred spirit in Steve Rogers" that she has deeply grieved his loss.

"It's only been a year and she's grieving him and I think what keeps her going is he was the greatest person she ever knew - even before he took the serum and became Captain America," Atwell said when asked about how Peggy has coped with the death of Captain America.

Likewise, in an interview with TV Line, Hayley Atwell confirmed people will see Agent Peggy Carter in her emotional moments following the death of Steve Rogers. Viewers will see her cry, "see her private moments" and her loneliness. "Agent Carter" will reportedly give a glimpse into the "emotional and psychological costs of the position" that Peggy is in and the loss that she's had of Captain America, whom she considers as the "greatest man she's ever known in terms of character and his values."

"You see the personal struggles and the sacrifices that she had to make and you see her grief and that's wonderful because you see the vulnerable side of Peggy," Atwell continued in her interview with IGN TV. She claimed in "Agent Carter" people will see the human and "infinitely more relatable" side of her character.

However, despite the loss Hailey Atwell claimed in "Agent Carter," Peggy makes sure Steve Roger's work doesn't go in vain. Along with the grieving is the "tremendous amount of determination" to continue on with what Captain America has started despite the many obstacles that come in the way.
