'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 4: First clip is all about Quake; Doctor Strange connection
The first clip of an extended scene from the premiere episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” has been released online. The scene is mainly focused on Quake. Meanwhile, Executive Producer Jed Whedon has teased that the show this year will have a connection to the upcoming “Doctor Strange” film.
[Spoiler alert]
The scene, posted on YouTube, begins with Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Alphonso ‘Mack’ Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) being called back abruptly from the field. It is Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) who has called them back, which the two find highly suspicious.
With Coulson still officially dead, he has to work as an Agent with Mack. Agent May did not send the two men a message because she has information about Quake (Chloe Bennet). There have been violent deaths and another victim in critical condition says that he recognised Daisy from the news.
The two agents have a limited amount of time to conduct a quite investigation in “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 premiere episode. Coulson and Mack have been pulled from handling Quake’s case because the director feels they let her get away. Mack disagrees and says they pursued her, and that she was “a ghost.”
The title of the first episode is “The Ghost.” A big new character being introduced this year is Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna). The teaser trailer released at the San Diego Comic Con showed the introduction of the popular character. The video said that “vengeance” was coming.
Meanwhile, Whedon told Entertainment Weekly that “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 will have a connection to “Doctor Strange” film. The producer said that the connection is more of a “reflection” of the movie rather than having an “interweaving plot.” The TV series will apparently explore the same ideas that are featured in the movie.
