Alec Baldwin confirms “30 Rock” to end next year

Actor Alec Baldwin has confirmed that one of America’s top-rated show, “30 Rock” will end with its last episode next season.
Baldwin, who portrays a rock star has-been, Jack Donaghy for the hit NBC series, says that it will no longer be on air after its sixth series in 2012.
"I will tell you one thing. And that is our show next year is our last year of the show. Our contracts are expired in 2012,” Baldwin was quoted as saying by Exposay.com.
The actor added that his co-star, Tina Fey is already set to fly her wings after their contracts expired in 2012.
He said, “…and Tina Fey is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She's going to be the next Elaine May. She'll be great."
The actor, who was reported earlier by IBTimes as giving Charlie Sheen a piece of advice on handling “Men” producers, already declared that he will be quitting “30 Rock” when his contract ends in 2012.

On continuing for “30 Rock” after 2012, the 53-year-old Baldwin said that he “would rather do other things”.
The actor said, "I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have more of a normal life. I want to find out if it's possible. How close can I get."
