Following the fate of surfer Chris Boyd in Western Australia, a teenager became a victim of yet another fatal shark attack in Australia. The unfortunate accident occurred at the NSW coast of Australia in Coffs Harbor. The second fatal shark attack took the life of 18 year-old teenager Zach Young.

Zach Young had come for bodyboarding to beach when the shark took him by his legs and mangled him to death. It is reported, that the boy was bitten several times before he lost both his legs in the attack.

Zach Young belonged to New South Wales (NSW) region's Port Macquarie. It is reported that the victim suffered cardiac arrest after being pulled out of the water to Campbell's Beach.

"A man, believed to be aged 18, was bodyboarding with friends around 100 metres offshore when he was bitten on the legs by what is believed to be a shark," Police told in a statement.

"His friends managed to get him to the beach where he was treated by paramedics. He was pronounced dead a short time later," added police inspector.

It is reported by the police that Zach young was sitting upright on his board near the Riecks Point when the shark attacked on both his legs.

"A struggle has taken place and he has managed to break free," told police inspector Joanne Reid to Sky News.

"It has taken a bit of time to get him to shore and he lost a fair amount of blood on the way," continued Inspector Joanne Reid.

According to Shark biologist Amy Smoothey the shark that attacked Zach young was a tiger shark. These sharks are the second most dangerous sharks after the great white shark in terms of causing fatal injuries to human.

"He suffered a traumatic cardiac arrest as a result of his injuries. Swimmers tried to revive him and then paramedics arrived," said NSW emergency services representative.

It is reported that the shark attack issues are very rare in the region. Only, two of such attacks have been reported in last 150 years. But, it is also the second fatal shark attack that occurred within a week in Australia. The first incident happened on Nov. 23, 2013 in which Chris Boyd, a surfer who belonged to Sunshine coast of Queensland lost his life. (Read more about the report here.)
