Alessandra Ambrosio Admits Botched Surgery At 11 Years Old [PHOTOS]

She may look perfect now, but supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio used to be so insecure with her looks that she had to undergo a plastic surgery at just 11 years old. And unfortunately, the operation wasn’t a success, forcing her to live with the consequence for the rest of her life.

The 32-year-old Brazilian model admitted to Net-A-Porter that she has had a botched operation as young as 11 years old. Instead of trying to fix the operation, though, she just keeps that particular part hidden.

“I always knew I wanted to be a model so I decided to have my ears pinned back because they stuck out a bit. I found this doctor in my hometown [of Erechim] in Brazil who had only done it once before, so I was a guinea pig,” she recalled, laughing.

“The first few nights, it felt like someone had cut off my ears. For a year, I had to go back for mini-surgeries. Doctors say they can fix them, but cosmetic surgery freaks me out now.”

And it doesn’t appear that she needs any more surgeries. The Brazilian beauty became one of the most recognisable supermodels in the world after signing up with Victoria’s Secret. She also came in at 6th place on the Forbes top-earning models list in 2012, with her earnings estimated to be at $6.6 million in that year alone.

Also, her fiancé, businessman Jamie Mazur, wouldn’t have liked it if she would undergo surgeries to alter her appearance again. She told the magazine that Mazur is unimpressed with artificial women.

So even after two pregnancies have changed her breasts, she still wouldn’t consider having done them.

“It’s funny how casual you become about [your breasts] after children. I mean, you breast-feed in front of your parents... Still, after two kids, they’re not the same. I’m afraid of having anything done, though; there’s too much of that in L.A.”

Ambrosio raises two kids with Mazur: daughter Anja Louise (born 2008) and son Noah Phoenix (born 2012).
