‘Alex From Target' Cashier Gets Hollywood Offers, Weighs His Options After Appearing On ‘The Ellen Show’ [WATCH VIDEO]
Alex LaBeouf, also known as "Alex from Target" has recently shot to fame on the Internet because of his good looks. The 16-year-old guy who works at a Target store in Dallas, Texas as a cashier/bagger is reportedly getting offers from Hollywood. His days at Target could be over soon if he takes these offers seriously. Read on to find out more about "Alex from Target."
According to TMZ, Alex told them that he was besieged with offers from various Hollywood agents, companies and talk shows which prompted him to go to Los Angeles on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. One of the offers included getting "Alex from Target" a meeting at the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, which is said to be one of the most powerful talent agencies in the world.
But, "Alex from Target" is already trying to strike while the iron is hot because he recently appeared with Ellen DeGeneres on "The Ellen Show" to talk about how he became an Internet celebrity.
"My manager came up to me and she showed me the actual picture. I thought it was fake," Alex told Ellen. He also said that he could bag groceries pretty well when Ellen asked him about his special talents. Plus, he got a new iPad from Ellen.
Who knows, maybe Alex and Ellen could do a movie together wherein the main plot involves working at Target. Surely, it isn't too far from reality, at least for Alex. Plus, Target will get a lot of publicity which is very helpful now that Christmas is fast approaching. Or, we could be seeing Alex in some Target ads pretty soon.
"Alex from Target" is so popular now that some people want to duplicate his success by taking photos of cute guys working at other establishments, such as Starbucks ("Frankie from Starbucks,") State Farm ("Jake from StateFarm") and T-Mobile ("Kieran from T-Mobile").
Alex LaBeouf uses the name Alex Lee (@acl163) on his official Twitter account. He has 56,114 followers as of this writing. Fellow Twitter user Abbie (@auscalum) is credited as the one who first posted his photo on Twitter, which has been retweeted numerous times and turned into funny Internet memes. However, Breakr founder and CEO Dil-Domine Jacobe Leonares claims in a LinkedIn post that his company was responsible for the hashtag #AlexFromTarget phenomenon. Both Abbie and Alex deny being a part of the said social media experiment.
