From 6,352 entries down to nine players in July and then, the November Nine cut down to two players to battle heads up for the 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event title and over $8.3M in cash prize for the champion’s purse.

Jay Farber and Ryan Riess both from the United States of America face off on Wednesday to begin their head-to-head battle for the most prestigious and one of the richest titles in the world of poker.

Farber and Reiss started the final table play with 25.9M and 25.8M in chips, respectively, but outperformed the other seven WSOP gold bracelet contenders for much of the day. On Tuesday, Farber has the slight edge over Reiss, 105M to 85.6M in chips, entering the final day of play of the main event.

Erstwhile chip leader JC Tran, who entered final table play with 38M in chips, couldn’t perform as well as the winning pair and settled for 5th place ($2,106,893)
