All That You Need to Know About Miley Cyrus' 19 Tattoos and Her 20th 'Rolling Stone' Tattoo [SEE PICTURES]
Miley Cyrus is a fan of tattoos. For "Smilers", they'd be more than aware that the 20-year-old singer had 19 tattoos but got her 20th one inked especially for the Rolling Stone magazine cover. It's at the bottom of her feet with ROLLING written on right foot and $TONE on left foot. What are her other 19 tattoos? Read on to find out and see all of them.
Miley's first tattoo was "Just Breathe" on her left ribs and she got it when she 17-years of age. It is a tribute to her friend Vanessa and her grandfathers who both died of lung cancer.
"It reminds me not to take things for granted. I mean breathing - that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing. And I put it near my heart, because that is where they will always be," said Cyrus in an interview with Harper Bazaar.
Her second one is "Love" written on the inside of her right ear.
"I have 'Love' right here to block out all the crap that everyone throws into your ears...I don't really care about it. [You're] only supposed to hear the things coming from the people that genuinely love you," said Miley to Access Hollywood.
The "We Can't Stop" singer has a peace sign, an equal sign, a heart and a cross all on her fingers.
In February 2011 Miley got inked by a largest tattoo on her body - a dreamcatcher tattoo on her right side. A friend told People Magazine that the picture represents her four brothers and sisters and the dream catcher is to protect them.
The singer got a sign of "Anchor" tattooed on her wrist by artist Fabio Satori while in Brazil and according to the artist it represents a feeling of safety to Miley. Next is a Leonardo da Vinci sketch on her right forearm. The tattoo is an anatomical drawing of a human heart from two angles done by Leonardo da Vinci and was done by tattoo artist Kat Von D. When she first got it done in 2013, there were speculations in the media that it was her and Liam Hemsworth's heart. But the singer kept mum on it.
Just above the heart tattoo is Roman numerals VIIXCI, for 7/91, the month and year her parents first met. But inside of her left forearm is her most interesting tattoo. "THAT HIS PLACE SHALL NEVER BE WITH THOSE COLD AND TIMID SOULS WHO NEITHER KNOW VICTORY NOR DEFEAT. This quote comes from former United States president Theodore Roosevelt's speech given in Paris in 1910 and is Miley's answers to critics.
"It's about how people judge who wins and who loses, but they're not the ones in there fighting." In other words, "It's about critics," the singer told the magazine.
Her other tattoos include an "Om"sign on her left wrist, the word "Karma" written along the side of her index finger, an "equal" (=) sign on her left index finger, "Love Never Dies" in small letters on the inside of her left arm, on her bicep, an evil eye tattoo on her knuckle, Michael Jackson inspired "Bad" tattoo written on her finger with red ink, crossed arrows on the back of her right elbow and also curved tooth bone from a some unspecified animal.
It is also interesting to note that Miley Cyrus and her fiancé actor Liam Hemsworth have matching tattoos on their ankles, which are colorful sugar skulls. It will probably remind the singer of her first fiancé forever. So what do you think of Miley Cyrus' 19 tattoos and now the 20th?
But if you are a Miley Cyrus fan, you got to have a tattoo too, just like her biggest fan and "Threesome" actor Stephen Baldwin has. Miley revealed that he has a "HM" tattoo.
"Did you know Alec Baldwin has Hannah Montana's initials tattooed on him? No, wait - Stephen Baldwin. He said he was my biggest fan, and I told him my biggest fans have tattoos. So he got hm tattooed on his shoulder," said Miley in her interview for the Rolling stone magazine.
