"Almost Human" Season 1 Episode 3 Sneak Peek: New Sci-Fi Heroes Respond to Hostage Situation in 'Are You Receiving?' [VIDEO]
“Almost Human” returns on tubes Monday, Nov. 25 for its third episode “Are You Receiving” of Fox’s sci-fi drama. After the two-episode premieres last Nov. 17, the new sci-fi heroes are back responding to a hostage situation.
John Kennex (Karl Urban) and Dorian (Michael Ealy) are faced with a horrifying hostage crisis and the new partners responded to the situation happening at a large office building.
They were called for a murder case in the city where crime increased 400% in year 2048. But while they were trying to figure out the crime, an explosion occurred and the sci-fi heroes are forced to deal with a hostage situation.
The description by Cinemablend.com for the upcoming hostage situation in Episode 3 of “Almost Human” reads: The thrilling action continues in another all-new, adrenaline-fueled episode. Detective Kennex and Dorian battle an intense and futuristic hostage situation, while Captain Maldonado (Lili Taylor) attempts to meet the terrorist’s demands, hoping to protect innocent people in the all-new “Are You Receiving?”
Kennex and Dorian were both introduced in the two-episode premiere last week. Kennex was first assigned to an android called, MX-43. Kennex was not too thrilled to be in partner with the android robot cop and he therefore kicked him out at the early part of the series first episode.
The MX-43s are assigned to each human cop to assist them in solving crimes. Programmed to know more information as one can possibly imagine, the adroid robot cops can answer to queries such as the kind of chemicals used in an explosion and what they can do.
Kennex lost patience to the M-43 assigned to him when the latter even took note of his breath, defining the intoxication smelled from the detective. The human cop then kicked his MX-43 while he was driving in his futuristic car but knowing he has to have one as the LAPD policy, he searched for a new one.
He found a synthetic cop in Dorian - - the kind of robot programmed with emotions experienced by human using a software called, DNR. Dorian is the kind of robot cop who can think for himself with only one flaw - - he is too emotional, a robot that is “almost human.”
Kennex and Dorian are faced with yet another crime situation in “Almost Human,” which airs Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox.
