Alyson Hannigan, fellow cast member of the CBS' hit show "How I Met Your Mother", is among those who were confused after watching the season finale of the hit series.

Hannigan, who plays Lily Aldrin in "How I Met Your Mother", was surprised on how the show was abruptly ended.

'It wasn't that I wasn't happy, I just wished that they could have aired everything," she told TMZ on Wednesday.She felt the ending would have been better if only a few key-scenes were not cut.

Hannigan revealed there were numerous scenes cut (Tracy McConnell's gut-wrenching funeral scene among others), which could have made the ending better and more understandable to audience. Those deleted scenes were probably one of the most critical scenes that could have made the finale more pleasing to viewers, had it not been cut.

'I just feel like the end went by too quickly...there were scenes with Robin and Ted that I think would have really helped it not feel so sudden," she said when asked whether she was unhappy with the ending.

Alyson Hannigan said the cast were also excited to see the end result of the show and they were as much as surprised as the viewers. Sadly, they have no control on how it would be shown worldwide.

Series co-creator Carter Bays agreed that the finale didn't connect to the previous episodes. Thus he along with Craig Thomas assured viewers that on the complete DVD series, there would be a different edited version of the finale, and with happier alternate ending. The one they didn't use in the finale will be in the DVD set.
