Amanda Bynes ‘Banned’ from Barneys After Shoplifting $200 Hat
U.S. actress Amanda Bynes has been accused of shoplifting at Barneys in New York. She allegedly committed the offence while shopping with her friends.
Bynes apparently tried to walk out of the shop with a hat without paying for that. The hat was worth $200, according to Perez Hilton which also reported that that the "Easy A" actress' behaviour had become "increasingly weirder." It apparently started since she had been busted for DUI for the second time. She also scratched and dug her nails into a woman for trying to take the actress' picture. Bynes was reportedly stopped by security guards outside the store. The NYPD was called even though there were no charges pressed against Bynes.
According to Bynes, she assumed to have chased by fans at the store. That was why she apparently tried to hide her face with the hat. She also said that she had accidentally gone out of the store. The "What a Girl Wants" star also said that she did have the intention to pay for the hat. Her arguments were apparently not enough for the Barneys authorities who made her sign a no-trespass agreement. The agreement apparently meant that Bynes would be banned from entering the store in future.
The incident took place at the Madison Avenue store, according to TMZ. The celebrity gossip website also reported that Bynes was "acting crazy" when she was taken back to the store after having been caught by the security. There were four NYPD officers who arrived at the store to interrogate Bynes. However, the actress was already released by the security without pressing any charges against her.
Bynes earlier told In Touch Weekly that she would want a dollar every day from every person reading her mind. She said she had the belief that she had a microchip in her head. She also said that she would require a nose job. It would be needed as she had to get rid of cysts from her face. According to Bynes, she looks "hideous" so she should "use a little plastic surgery." Bynes also said that she would not prefer living with her parents. "I was miserable living with them," she says. "I would have rather been in jail."
