Amanda Byne's troubled life has been further exposed when she let two visitors into her Manhattan abode last month.

There have been consistent reports of Amanda's erratic behaviour, how she's lost touch of the outside world and isolated friends and family, but the former child star's seemingly desperate cry for help has reached the full extent when two friends reportedly found drugs in her apartment in April.

During an impromptu house party that month, Amanda opened the doors of her Big Apple apartment to two men, one by the name of Giovanni Arnold, a photographer, and another who went by the name of "Joe." The two guys claimed to In Touch magazine that they saw the actress smoke weed while sitting atop a bare mattress in her bedroom.

The two men described Amanda's abode as "filthy," with litter and take out containers strewn around, and windows blackened by spray paint. They also showed pictures of empty bags scattered on the floor.

Giovanni told In Touch that he saw weed everywhere. "On the bed, all over the floor. She probably gets so high that sometimes she won't even leave her house," he said.

"Joe," on the other hand observed Amanda's strange behaviour. "One minute she's cool and down-to-earth, the next, she's totally different - indecisive and she can't hold a conversation. Mentally, she is all over the place."

In the photograph presented by the two men to In Touch, Amanda is allegedly shown totally out of it, slumped on her bed with a pair of sunnies covering her eyes. In another photo she appeared to have a burnt-like wound in her mouth and her bare feet plastered with awful cuts and bruises.

"She'll smoke a joint halfway and then put it out and light a new one. Then she'll relight the half," 'Joe' told In Touch.

The two said that in the past they would see Amanda with pre-rolled joints and would tell them that she kept stocks of it in her apartment. They also told the magazine that they saw her do cocaine in her apartment last month.

When asked by In Touch about the reported drug use, Amanda adamantly denied any truth to it.

"They're the ones into drugs, so they bring drugs, but I don't do them," she told the magazine.

Giovanni and 'Joe' further shared to the magazine Amanda's apparent poor living conditions. They said her house was practically unfurnished.

"Her living room is basically empty. She has two big purple chairs and a little dining room table, that's it," 'Joe' shared.

Giovanni said that while one window had blinds, the rest were already half covered with spray paint. "It's almost like she couldn't bother to get more blinds," Giovanni said.

That night they were in Amanda's apartment, they said the actress also kept obsessing about her weight. They thought that the actress craved attention but at the same time noticed how she felt uneasy with her appearance now.

"She talks about losing weight constantly - she's fixated. As weird as she is, she's still very Hollywood: demanding and obsessed with how she looks."

Amanda's parents have seriously tried to reach out to her, according to reports. But their efforts have gone to naught as the actress continues to shut herself out from the outside world, which has also caused worry among her friends.

Even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who has seen Amada before she started showing such strange behaviour, viewed the actress' predicament as "frightening."

:She is a totally different person now,' he told In Touch.

"She's effectively isolated herself from her family, friends and loved ones. Her life must be incredibly lonely, confusing and frightening right now."
