The controversial story behind Meredith Kercher and Amanda Knox will now be written on a book by HarperCollins.

Amanda Knox, a 24-yearl-old exchange student from Seattle who was put behind bars for four years in Italy, accepted HarperCollins' proposal of telling her story in a book.

Knox was released in October, 2011. She has expressed only gratitude upon the acquittal of her murder charges, and did not say anything about her ordeal.

HarperCollins said Amanda will be providing detailed information of the various events, which caused her to be arrested in Perugia, Italy, including her torments under the complex structure of the Italian judicial system.

Knox has written journals while in jail. Her journals will reveal her disturbing experience with the Italian police, prison guards and inmates.

Untold details regarding her murder case will also be exposed. The upcoming book will also share how Knox made use of her personal strength and inspiration from her family to face the biggest challenge of her very young life.

The book has no title yet, but is expected to be released early next year.

The worth of the deal wasn't disclosed by Washington Lawyer Robert Barnett, who negotiated on Amanda's behalf. Atty. Barnett was known to have handled prominent clients such as ex-president George W. Bush and current president Barack Obama.

Knox has already met with seven of the 20 publishers, who have all submitted their bids for the book in the latest auction. Jonathan Burnhan, HarperCollins publisher, said Knox, who has a creative writing background, will be working with a colleage. Amanda Knox agrees $4m deal with HarperCollins .

She will be working with Claire Wachtel, her editor, along with other authors that include the US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, journalist Cokie Roberts and Dennis Lehane, a crime novelist.

Unfortunately, Knox's case isn't over yet. Italian prosecutors earlier this week requested the country's highest court to put back her and her former boyfriend's murder convictions.
