Amar'e Stoudemire Spends Some Quality Time With Wife Alexis and Baby Alijah After Undergoing a Knee Surgery
New York Knicks Amar'e Stoudemire knows how to spend quality time with his family. He was spotted having a stroll while pushing his daughter Alijah on a baby carriage with wife Alexis on Monday in New York City, as reported by The YBF.
Amar'e has four children with Alexis, namely, Assata, Ar'e, Amar'e Jr. and Alijah. The couple initially wed on Dec 2012 after 10 years of being together. The exact date was Dec 12, 2012, and on the very same day of their wedding, the 30-year-old and NBA All Star player posted 12-12-12 on Twitter, saying that the numbers have a special and spiritual meaning for him now.
They married only five weeks after Alexis gave birth to their youngest Alijah. The marriage ceremony was simple and held in front of only 12 people, but a huge reception followed afterwards in Miami, Florida.
They met in 2002 and have been together ever since. He proposed to her in Paris on June 2012. She gave her a ring with a 8.5 carat diamond. Who wouldn't say yes?
Even though Amar'e is a famous basketball player, he definitely knows how to keep his personal things private and away from the media. He managed to keep the most private details of his wedding out of the public eye.
He was also pretty good at keeping his knee surgery a secret. In the 2012-2013 NBA season, Ama're missed the first 30 games because of his knee injury. His surgery has only been reported after the operation was done. It was his third surgical operation since 2012 and according to Sports Illustrated, it was nothing major. Thus, the New York Knicks' fans should not worry about the forthcoming NBA season because Amar'e Stoudemire is still his old self and guaranteed to play well as he always does.
