The 28th season of the award-winning CBS reality TV show will air its final episode titled “The Only First That Matters” on Friday. TV Guide reports that for the final leg of the race, the three remaining teams travel all the way to Santa Barbara, California in the US. They will be tasked to jump off a building more than 150 feet high, as well as test their endurance with synchronised mountaineering.

CBS has posted sneak peeks for the upcoming episode. In one preview video, Cole perfectly summarises the last episode of the season. “If you’re afraid of heights, you won’t make it to the finale of the Amazing Race,” he says. The clip shows the contestants going to great heights to compete in gut-wrenching challenges.

Another teaser shows the teams enjoying a luxurious flight to the US as they express their final words before their last ever series of tasks. “It’s very surreal to be living in the final three,” Tyler says. “I know that the other two teams are bringing their A-game but we are going to win this entire thing.” Matt, on the other hand, reveals their secret weapon to win. “It’s going to take a lot to beat these teams, but we’ve been talking about our communication, and we feel that we’re getting stronger as the leg progresses,” he says. For Sheri’s part, she says they’re setting their eyes on the prize. “I have a family of eight, I’ve got two boys in college and about to have a third kid in college. We could use the money,” she admits.

The Amazing Race” Season 28 recap of Leg 11

On the 11th episode, titled “ That’s Money, Honey ,” the teams flew to Shenzhen, China. Once they arrived in the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, they were instructed to go to the top floor of the departure hall to find their next clue. They then had to travel by bus or train and proceed to Window of the World to climb the Eiffel Tower replica, where they found their Roadblock clue. The team’s representatives had to answer six riddles and find replicas of some of the world’s greatest landmarks: Pyramids of Egypt, Colosseum, Taj Mahal, Notre Dame, Merlion and St. Peter’s Square. When they find all the six landmarks and get self-sticking photo to paste on the passport, they had to show the completed passport to a park official who gave them the next clue. For the Detour, the racers had to choose between Commuter Cycle or Master of Arts. In Commuter Cycle, teams had to put on a business attire and ride self-balancing unicycles along a busy street. As if that’s not hard enough, they had to do it while holding a briefcase and a coffee cup. Once they successfully complete the task, they were given the combination for the briefcase which contained the next clue. In Master of Arts, the competitors had to look for a painter with a marked brush at the Dafen Oil Painting Village. The painter led them to a shop where pieces of an artwork are found. They had to assemble it correctly on the wall with hammer and nails before receiving their next clue. After completing either Detour task, they ran to the pit stop for the 11th leg of the race, found at the Shenzhen Cultural Center, where host Phil Keoghan was waiting.

Best friends Tyler and Korey bested the other teams at the pit stop for the third consecutive time – their fifth overall for the entire season. However, unlike in the other legs, their prize wasn’t mentioned. Korey took to Twitter to jokingly remind Phil about it. He wrote, “Phil forgot to give us our prize for 1st place this leg. We're still waiting lol.”

Engaged choreographers Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina arrived in second place, followed by mother-and-son duo Sheri and Cole. Dating gamers Burnie and Ashley were the last ones to arrive at the pit stop, eliminating them from the race.
