A superhero is in town. A granddad trapped under a car that weighs over 900kg was saved by his teenager grandson from Michigan by lifting up the car.

The accident happened inside the garage of their Township home when the 74-year-old Ernest "Papa Ernie" Monhollen was fixing the brakes of a 1991 Buick braced up with cinder blocks together with his grandson, Austin Smith, 15 years old.

While pumping the brakes, Austin, who was sitting inside the car, suddenly felt the vehicle was rocking a little. He went out and after a few moments later, it fell down, trapping his grandfather underneath.

He said he was shocked and frightened. He was confused on what to do. The only thing that was on his mind was to get the car off his granddad.

He immediately approached the vehicle and attempted to lift it up.

With superb strength, Austin was able to lift the car's front end high enough so his grandfather could slowly move out. The teenager was confused himself how he had managed to lift a 900 kg plus car. He said it could be due to adrenalin rush from his desperateness to save Papa Ernie.

His mind was so concerned and focused on getting his granddad out from underneath. His distressed mind helped him release a superhuman strength that enabled him to lift the car up.

Mr. Monhollen was very grateful that his grandson was there to help. The accident could have killed him if it was just him and his grandmother on the scene.

Papa Ernie earned a severe cut on his face, some injured ribs and broken eye socket from the incident.
