'American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson': First trailer features Kardashian couple
The first trailer of “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” has finally been released. The 10-part mini series features the drama that took place in and out of the public eye during the high-profile trial. Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as O.J. Simpson, while David Schwimmer and Selma Blair star as the now infamous Robert Kardashian Sr.and Kris Kardashian-Jenner.
The trailer shows scenes starting from the discovery of the bodies of Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The ensuing car chase that took place while the police was attempting to put O.J. Before launching their family name into reality TV stardom, Robert Kardashian Sr. and Kris Jenner found themselves surrounded by cameras during the O.J. Simpson trial. David Schwimmer plays the role of defense attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., who was part of O’J.’s defense team. He and his ex-wife were close friends of the Simpsons and he decided to help his friend during the murder trial. This didn’t come across well with Kris, who was very close to Nicole. The pair could be seen arguing in a scene in the trailer.
“He’s my friend, I don’t turn my back on people,” says Robert. “You’re turning your back on Nicole!,” says Kris. The former couple’s relationship took a real blow, when they took opposite sides in the murder trial. Kris Jenner has spoken about the difficult time in recent interviews. David Schwimmer also reportedly consulted with her, before starting production on the series. He did some research, in order to get inside the head of the now deceased lawyer.
“American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” premieres on Feb. 2, at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
