American heavyweight boxer Amir Mansour has reacted and shared his thoughts on the dispute which involves Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent. Mansour has a lot of things to say about 50 Cent, who has been taking jabs at Mayweather on social media.

In an interview with Fight Hype, Mansour said that he that he thought that it was funny stuff at first, but not anymore now. He added that 50 Cent's jabs at Mayweather only shows that the music mogul wasn't really a friend to the undefeated boxer.

Illiteracy is a serious matter, according to Mansour. He said that there are near-illiterate athletes in the National Football League (NFL). Mansour said that the same is true in both basketball and baseball.

Indeed, a study conducted by CNN has revealed that there was an upsetting number of college athletes who read like elementary students.

"Maybe he can't read as fluent as some of us, but he can read," Mansour said. The 42-year-old former World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion said that all the media frenzy that 50 Cent is doing might cause Mayweather to lose focus on his upcoming fight against Marcos Maidana in September.

"To me, that's just disrespectful as black men and brothers, and really as men period."

For Mansour, venting on social media is not cool in any way. He doesn't find it particularly amusing. "He's an Instagram gangster and that's lady stuff."

"That's what lady's do, real men don't do stuff like that."

Mansour also criticised Charlamagne, who hosts the radio station Power 105 which aired audio clips of Mayweather where he seemed to be having trouble reading. Mansour said that he will never support the radio station again. "If that show comes on when I'm in my car, I'm changing the station."

A few commenters applauded Mansour's statements and said that he had made some valid points.

"I'm not a great fan of Floyd as a person but to ridicule his lack of reading ability to millions with the sole intention to humiliate him is really out of order," one commented.

"He was dead on correct with every word," another pointed out.

Mansour is one of the most successful heavyweight boxers if the current generation. He has effectively defended his winning record for 16 years. He suffered first defeat and lost his United States Boxing Association (USBA) Heavyweight title to Steve Cunningham in April 2014.
