Ryan Murphy surprised us once again with a groundbreaking TV series, "American Horror Story". But what's more surprising is its breakout star, Evan Peters.

No one expected how good would Peters would be playing the plum role of Tate Langdon, a psychopath who people adore.

"I'm having such a good time with it because they kept writing this amazing stuff for Tate to do, and it's just an actor's dream to be able to play this kind of stuff. So I'm pretty grateful and psyched that it turned out the way that it did," the actor tells E!

One of the character's highlights is the shooting scene, which was both controversial and applauded. If memory serves right, police gunned Tate down in his own bedroom after he threw a hissy fit in the school library, taking lives as well.

"You know what, that's all credit to the other actors. I think that they just sold that so well and made that so believable there in the library that I didn't really have to do much but walk," Peters humbly shares.

Surely, Tate Langdon made an impact on the first season's latter part by removing the Rubber Man mask. The last thing fanatics needed for a seemingly heroic, and not to mention romantic, persona like Tate is for him to be the rapist of the mother of the girl he loves.

"It keeps in sweat unfortunately, but heat seems to escape and cold just seems to seep right through it. It's an interesting feeling; you're walking around naked on stage basically so you kind of like have to wear a robe," the "American Horror Story" actor dishes on donning that rubber suit.

Rubber Man or not, Peters definitely earned himself legions of fans that could give Edward Cullen a run for his money. So why is he himself a hit?

"I think it's mainly because he loves Violet and he wants Violet (Taissa Farmiga) to be taken with him. So, he has to be charming and likeable and nice, and it's kind of a double role," Peters says.

"It's like there's that side of him and then there's that psycho killer."

What's next for the brooding actor? He expresses that he's going to get around Los Angeles just "trying to get another job". No doubt that he will get one though, he's already made a name for himself.
