The "American Horror Story" season 3 has finally arrived not just for its usual fans but also to gain new followers. The premiere episode for 'American Horror Story: Coven' was entitled 'Bitchcraft' that is a nice introduction to the theme of the rest of the series' season that will revolve around witches and voodoo.

It has brought back old faces with a mix of first timers in the popular horror series. The pilot came up introducing initial points of the story making everyone free to expect that it is going to be one wild ride of a season, Collider reviews.

The series, once again, alternates time generations, somewhere around 1834 and back to the present day. Jessica Lange portrays Fiona Goode, who is obsessed with the youth and one of the most powerful witches and hence called as the Supreme. Taissa Farmiga returns as Zoe Benson who causes some kind of aneurysm to her sex partners.

Sarah Paulson portrays the daughter of Lange's character and a witchcraft instructor, at the same time a science researcher. The inclusion of Kathy Bates is something that everyone should look forward to especially for those who have seen her classic Stephen King movie, 'Misery.'

In terms of shock appeal, the 'American Horror Story: Coven' pilot episode "played it safe" as termed by Dave Trumbore. But as for the technical aspects presented, the introduction of the witches' academy was elegantly done as everything looked grand allowing the entire plot and list of characters to settle in by themselves without much effort.

'American Horror Story: Coven' Episode 2 Spoilers

Episode 2 which is entitled 'Boy Parts' will have the characters of Queenie, Nan, Zoe and Madison get closer as reported by Hypable. Queenie will have her time to share her discovery of herself as a witch.

Two detectives will disturb them by putting into Madison and Zoe under investigation with regards to what transpired during the frat party. Fiona will obsess on the secret of Marie Laveau in being young for eternity.

The most intense part is when Madison will make the ideal boyfriend as favor returned for Zoe. Madison will serve like Dr. Frankenstein using the boy parts of the frat member to complete the present for Zoe.
