'American Horror Story' Season 4 Freak Show: Gabourey Sidibe’s Role Revealed, Smallest Woman Cast
FX's horror anthology series, "American Horror Story," is known for same set of actors playing new characters in new seasons and each season features a different story. The Season 4, which is subtitled "Freak Show," is no different. The old cast members are returning to portray new roles in a terrifying new story, which revolves around one of the last remaining freak shows in the U.S. In addition to the old cast, new actors have also been roped in to play important roles.
Gabourey Sidibe, who played the confused witch in "Coven," is returning to play a completely different character in "Freak Show," according to TV Line. She will be seen playing a more sophisticated role.
TV Line describes the character as someone who is "well-off, impeccably tailored Barbizon School grad." The report does not reveal the name of the character. As previously reported, singer and actress Patti LaBelle has been roped-in to play the role of Sidibe's mother. LaBelle's character will play a role in unravelling the chilling mystery of Twisty the clown killer. Sidibe's character will return to her town because of a family issue, according to TV Line.
Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story," took to Twitter once again to announce the casting of the world's smallest woman, India's Jyoti Amge. "Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge...the world's smallest woman." said Murphy on Twitter, He also posted a photo of Jessica Lange and Amge. [Check the Photo Here]. There is no detail yet about the role that Amge will be playing in "American Horror Story" Season 4.
It seems possible that she is playing one of the performers in the freak show. Lange's character will be running this freak show, which is based in Jupiter, Florida. Sarah Paulson, who played the new supreme in "American Horror Story- Coven," is playing the role of Bette and Dot, the conjoined twins, with two heads. Paulson's characters are also performers in the freak show.
"American Horror Story-Freak Show" is currently under production in New Orleans. It is expected to premiere in Oct. 2014.
