Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story" Season 4, recently revealed that Matt Bomer, who plays the suave con-man Neal Caffrey in "White Collar," has been roped-in to guest-star in an episode of "American Horror Story" Season 4 "Freak Show."

Murphy called the actor "amazing" but did not spill details about the character. He said to Entertainment Weekly (EW) that he sent a text to Bomer -- "First right of refusal, here's the role. It's very...warped." Murphy has directed Bomer in HBO's miniseries "The Normal Heart." At the Emmy Awards on Monday, Bomer revealed that he has no clue about his "Freak Show" role and he jumped on board because Murphy is associated with the show.

Bomer said to TV Line that he does not know anything about the character that he is going to portray in the upcoming season of FX's popular horror anthology series.

Speaking about why he agreed to do the role, Bomer told TV Line: "I trust Ryan, implicitly. I mean I'm such a fan of his storytelling. I love collaborating with him. This is the fourth time when I've collaborated on ... so I just ... if he asks me to come do a ... a car wax commercial, I got to do with him." The actor called Murphy one of the "great talents" of his time.

Meanwhile, "American Horror Story" Season 3, which is subtitled "Coven," did not win big at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards. It earned a whopping 17 nominations but scored only two wins. Jessica Lange took home the Emmy gold for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie. She won the award for her role of Fiona Goode, the evil witch, in "Coven." Kathy Bates, who played the racist Madame Delphine LaLaurie, won the Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie.

"American Horror Story" Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 08, 2014. The Hollywood Reporter has quoted Lange as saying that the upcoming season is the "most extraordinary" one. The actress, however, refused to confirm whether it is her final appearance in "American Horror Story."
