Madison, a powerful telekinetic, was a twisted witch in "American Horror Story-Coven." In the upcoming "American Horror Story-Freak Show," Maggie is a con-woman who claims to be a fortune-teller and has a crystal ball. Emma Roberts played Madison in the last season and in the upcoming season, she is playing Maggie and there is a huge difference between both the characters. Madison had real powers while Maggie is a fraud. Also unlike the last season, Maggie will be in a romantic relationship with Evan Peters' character Jimmy Darling. Roberts and Peters are a couple in the real life.

Ryan Murphy has confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Jimmy and Maggie will be in a romantic relationship in "American Horror Story-Freak Show." Evan Peters' Kyle choked Madison to death in the last season's finale.

In the same interview, Murphy called the character of Maggie a "complete con artist." He also revealed that Maggie turns up at the camp of the freaky circus performers, with the intention to help, but the help may not end on a happy note. Murphy said to EW that Maggie "shows up at the camp to help them and it ends up terribly bad."

Meanwhile in an interview with E! Online, Roberts said, "I have to say, Freak Show is really scarier...I read the script and I was having nightmares."

The roles played by other characters: Jessica Lange is playing Elsa Mars. She is a German ex-pat who came to the U.S. after the war and manages one of the last remaining freak shows. She has been rescuing the performers from the hospitals and jails and does everything to keep the show running. Sarah Paulson is playing Dot and Bette Tattler, the conjoined twins with two heads. She may be responsible for some of the dark activities that are taking place in the town. Paulson's characters are said to be the main attraction of the sideshow. The odd girls are expected to make the freaky circus show popular. Kathy Bates is playing the right-hand woman of Elsa Mars' character. Her character is called Ethel Darling and she will be seen sporting a beard.

Meanwhile, veteran actor Michael Chiklis is playing the strongman Wendell dell Toledo and this character's wife is the three-breasted woman Desiree, played by Angela Bassett. Spalding of "Coven," Denis O' Hare, is playing Stanley who in "Freak Show." He is a collector of freaks. John Carroll Lynch will appear as the most terrifying clown of all time, Twisty the Clown.

"American Horror Story-Freak Show" is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 08.
