The Season 4 of "America Horror Story," which is subtitled "Freak Show," will feature a character called the Clown Killer. Also, the much talked about bearded lady will be part of the "Freak Show."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story," has said that the presence of the Clown Killer is making the upcoming season "terrifyingly dark."

Murphy said that he had a talk with Jessica Lange about this concept and it was her favourite one. He said, "It was always her [Lange] favourite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right." He calls this clown the "most terrifying clown ever."

Lange will be playing the role of a German expatriate. She will be seen managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S. She has rescued a group of performers and these performers will do anything to keep the freak show in business, according to EW.

In one of the previous interviews, Murphy had said that they want to retain the lighter tone of "Coven" in Season 4. Murphy now feels that it is becoming dark like "Asylum."

"I thought it was going to be light but it's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look -- if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark," Murphy said to EW.

In addition to the scary clown, Murphy also has confirmed that "American Horror Story-Freak" will feature their version of the bearded lady. When EW asked if "Freak Show" will feature the most famous freak show tropes, the bearded lady, Murphy said, "Yes, our version of it."

"American Horror Story-Freak Show" is set in 1950 and in Jupiter, Fl. The shooting, however will take place in New Orleans. The Season 4 is speculated to air in October 2014.
