Season 6 of “American Horror Story” was shorter than usual with only 10 episodes, but its twists and turns had viewers satisfied but wanting more at the same time. Because of this, fans are looking forward for what “AHS” has in store for them for season 7.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “American Horror Story” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.
Spoilers say that Season 7 of “American Horror Story” might still be closely connected to season 6’s theme. In a recent teaser, however, the official Twitter page of “American Horror Story” teased fans with a short clip that could already show the upcoming season’s central theme.
The recently released teaser, which shows the sea, could mean that the next season of “American Horror Story” could take place in the ocean. Fans have been suggesting that a sea monster will appear from there and will be named Cthulhu. This was taken from the video’s words which say “sweet dreams” and “the monsters are all gone.”
Others suggest that the recent social media tease might mean that viewers will witness the next season of “American Horror Story” on board a haunted cruise ship. This is because several clues were seen on season 6 that point out to some future activity on a ship at sea. One of the most noticeable Easter eggs was the image of a schooner that landed in a shot during the season finale.
A popular speculation has been making the rounds online about the S.S. Ourang Medan, which could be the setting for “American Horror Story” season 7. The S.S. Ourang Medan was a Dutch freighter whose signal two American ships picked up while traversing along the Straits of Malacca somewhere between 1947 and 1948. The transcript reportedly said that all officers, including the captain, were dead.
The crew of The Silver Star, which was the American ship that picked up the signal, saw that there was no life on the S.S. Ourang Medan so their rescue crew boarded the ship. Upon doing so, they witnessed a horrific scene. The entire ship was decked with corpses sprawled on their backs with mouths open and eyes staring. Up to this day, the mystery of the S.S. Ourang Medan tragedy remains unsolved.
“American Horror Story” season 7 is expected to premiere on FX in 2017. It will also air on Channel Eleven in Australia.
