It is confirmed that Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson are returning for Season 4 of "American Horror Story." However, there is suspense surrounding the rest of the star-cast. The pilot season news is also adding to this suspense. The latest news is that Gabourey Sidibe, who played Queenie in "American Horror Story-Coven," has signed-up to star in the pilot episode of Fox's hip-hop theme drama, titled "Empire."

Deadline.com reports that she is set to portray the role of an assistant to the main character and record mogul, Lucious Lyon [played by Terence Howard]. The report describes her character as "hard-working."

Sidibe is the second "American Horror Story" actor to sign-up for a show in the pilot stage. As reported previously, Lily Rabe has been cast in "The Visitors." Rabe is playing the character of Claire Bennigan, a child specialist working for the FBI. She and the FBI, according to TV Line, are "investigating a string of strange cases involving children and their imaginary friend 'Drill'." The enemy will abduct Bennigan's son, which will test her temperament as a mother and an agent.

If "Empire" and "The Visitors" get a full season order and fall premiere date, these two talented actresses may have to quit "American Horror Story." Rabe has starred in all the three seasons of "American Horror Story" and her loss will be felt the most. Sidibe has done the third season of the horror, supernatural drama series, and she was excellent as a young, confused witch.

Evan Peters is eager to star in the fourth season. However, he had revealed to Vulture that he has yet to receive a call.

The new season is set in two time periods, mainly the 1950s and the contemporary. As reportedly previously, Lange is working on her German accent to play a role similar to German born American actress and singer, Marlene Dietrich. Paulson is learning a new skill for her upcoming role.

The Season 4 of "American Horror Story" will not be picking from where it left-off in "Coven." It will be a completely new story and one can expect signing-up of new actors to play new characters.
