American Idol, runner-up, Angie Miller takes a look back at her life before Idol a year ago and what has the show given her since she braved the world and faced the challenges week in, week out since the day she auditioned for America’s most popular reality television show.

On June 24, 2012, Angie Miller was just another Beverly girl, trying to find her place in the music industry. On the same day last year, Angie was among the thousands of Idol hopefuls who lined up in hopes to make the cut to Hollywood. Not thinking of her serious hearing problem in both ears, Angie has threaded the road less travelled and ignored the physical impairment and went on to meet Ryan Seacrest and the three new judges, along with head judge, Randy Jackson.

As she was reflecting on her one year since her Idol journey began, Angie took to Twitter and remembered the day that could forever change her life.

Angie wrote: “"Wow, a year ago today I auditioned for @AmericanIdol.... #crazy."

It sure has been quite a journey for Angie since she has been deemed as one of the most popular and most favorite runner up in the history of Idol having been the most talented and with strong star power among her contemporaries. Yet, the odds were not in her favor. Angie left the whole world dumbfounded, leaving everyone in shock when she was eliminated on the Top Three Final on Idol.

It was clear that she was not ready to go home, judging by the uncontrollable tears as she was delivering her last song. The whole world was not ready to let her go. But America had spoken.

Angie however, has continued with her journey on Idol since then. She was among the few American Idol contenders whose first single was launched on the Idol final show.

While Candice Glover and Kree Harrison disappointed with less sales of their winning singles on iTunes, Angie continued to soar and she has been doing her music like she said she would, in case she didn’t make it to the final.

She shares her hopes and dreams with her followers in social media. On June 23, the singer took to Twitter and asked them if she should post the lyrics of the piece she has been working on: “"Sooooo should I tweet some lyrics to a new song...??? ;)."

As expected, her followers wasted no time to ask her to and so she did: “"It's my passion I believe in, tell me you can hear it, I want you to need it!!!" and "It's time to break the glass and all that holds me back is gonna #Shatter!!

No details on her latest single have been provided as of yet. It the song’s launch will make it in time for the start of the American Idol Live Tour 2013, which is set to begin in August 2013.
