Who among American Idol 2013 (Season 12) finalists could be the next Kelly Clarkson? It may be too soon to tell. But we could guess who will be the "safest" next week when the show returns to eliminate send home one more contestant.

This Top 5 Girls 'Idol' fearless forecast was almost perfect, except the Janelle Arthur prediction was updated only after the performance. (The rest was based on the Idol girls' "Sudden Death" performances.) Adriana Latonio was bumped off by Janelle, who came back stronger after a rather mediocre number a week ago. That said, there was no shocking departure among the girls.

Best 'Idol' Girls, So far: Amber Holcomb, Angela Miller and Candice Glover

As for the safest next week, the odds are in favor of Amber Holcomb, Angela Miller and Candice Glover. These two always seem to know the right song that matches their vocals perfectly.

This Top 5 Boys 'Idol' fearless forecast had pointed out Elijah Liu could be the next Eben Franckewitz from last year. History did repeat itself. The next Idol judges should note not every cute and young ladies' guy can be Justin Bieber. Both Liu and Franckewitz had not-so-stellar vocals - they should have judged based on that, and allowed some better guys in for the voting round.

The same forecast noted Vincent Powell could have better chances against Devin Velez because Powell had more screen time since the auditions. Apparently, Velez' vocals had wider fan base than predicted. Paul Jolley got in, and Charlie Askew was sent home. Jimmy Iovine was vindicated, he was right to predict Jolley had something good going on. (That, and Askew messed up, unfortunately. He took his own vocals for granted and picked a wrong time and venue for his ennui.) So that's 3 out o 5 on the forecast for the boys.

Best 'Idol' Boy, So far: Burnell Taylor

Among the boys, the safest next week would be Burnell Taylor. It is difficult to see the other guys' staying power as of this time. None of them has the right combination of Burnell's charm and vocals. That said, only Burnell can give Amber, Candice, and Angie a run for their money.
