American Idol 2013 (Season 12) has named its Top 20 following the conclusion of Sudden Death rounds in Las Vegas. The 10 ladies and 10 blokes move on to public voting rounds in the coming week. Then the Top 10 finalists will be named Thursday, Mar. 7.

Did your early American Idol favorites make the cut? Egos, nerves, song choice, connection/charisma and a lot of other factors are all important. But these factors did not line up for many of those who had great Idol auditions in the beginning. One by one, contestants fell. And only the best (at least for the Idol judges) remained. Now it's time for the judges to just give (hopefully) relevant and contestant-focused comments. Public voting begins.

Here is the Top 6 ranking of the best performances in Las Vegas. (The list is admittedly subjective; see how it matches your own list.)

6. Breanna Steer, 18, Laplace, Louisiana. ("Bust Your Windows" by Jazmine Sullivan) Pop diva vibe. Cool confidence. Engaging. (Does not sound very unique, but dishes solid entertainment.)

5. Kree Harrison, 22, Nashville, Tennessee. ("Up to the Mountain" by Patti Griffin) Strong vocals. Easy on the eyes. An early judges' favorite who enjoyed a lot of screen time since auditions.

4. Charlie Askew, 17, Little Rock, Arkansas. ("Rocket Man" by Elton John) Glorifying weirdness in a very cool, relatable way. A one-man reality show on his own.

3. Angela Miller, 18, Beverly, Massachusetts. ("Nobody's Perfect" by Jessie J) Brilliant songwriter. Passionate singer. Impressed judges with original composition in Hollywood.

2. Vincent Powell, 29, Austin, Texas. ("Cause I Love You" by Lenny Williams) Compelling, yet easy on the ears. Masterful. Engaging.

1. Amber Holcomb, 18, Houston, Texas. ("My Funny Valentine" by Mitzi Green) Breath of fresh air. Captivating. (May she not be a one-hit wonder on live rounds.)
