American Idol 2013: Who Gets Bigger Bulk of Angie Miller's Votes to Win the Finals -- Candice Glover or Kree Harrison?
American Idol 2013 Top 2 comes as a shocker for many: how could Angie Miller leave the competition ahead of Kree Harrison? There are several possibilities, but the more important question now is: Who gets to benefit from the millions of Miller votes now?
Angie Miller has admitted in an American Idol exit interview she had hoped and dreamed to be in the Finals. Never been in the bottom 2 or 3, the 19-year-old thought her name won't be called as the weakest vote drawer last week.
American Idol 2013 Top 2: Who Gets Angie Miller's Votes?
The Idol competition is now down to Candice Glover (23, South Carolina) and Kree Harrison (22, Texas). Who gets the bigger bulk of the votes that used to go to Angie Miller?
Performances: Who's got more American Idol 2013 moments?
Candice, Amber Holcomb and Angie performed as a group on American Idol Top 8 Week. They sang Diana Ross & the Supremes' "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me." They jived well, with vocals blended nicely. Candice and Angie sang together again, with Rihanna's "Stay." They sounded like pros. If the voters paid attention to how Angie and Candice blend well together on stage, Candice could get more votes.
Personality: Bubbly, serious, endearing sweet gameface on?
In terms of personality, however, Angie is more similar to Kree than Candice. The latter is often caught in a frown by American Idol cameras. Kree, despite the tragedies in her past, seems more able to laugh and have fun than Candice. Kree being on the bubbly side is more relatable to former voters of Angie.
Song Choices: Whose post-Idol album will fans buy?
When it comes to song choices, Angie and Candice are more likely to meet at crosspoints. For instance, The Cure's "Lovesong," one of Candice's best covers on Idol, is something Angie's fans could imagine she could sing, too.
Those who'd buy Angie's album post-American Idol are likely to buy Candice's too. Kree draws a different music fan group.
Stage Presence: American Idol being a popularity contest no one would officially admit...
Angie and Kree are both easy on the eyes. American Idol can play a lovely montage of these girls' dimples, big smile, and confident moments. They are marketable just by looks and style alone.
Candice, being often too serious to take the world lightly, is always on the no-nonsense alpha, diva side. Boss. She's almost the same age as Kree but she feels older, especially for the young Idol voters.
There is a good chance Angie's voters would like a sweeter, more fun-loving and youthful face to win American Idol 2013. That said, despite a 2 for 2 score considering the factors above, Candice Glover is in serious risk of landing at No. 2 to Kree Harrison.
